The academic foundation

Tetreault earned a BA in Television, Film and Advertising and an MA in Theater Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. He earned an MFA through the UCLA Producers Program and a Graduate Certificate in Sports Management from Columbia University.

He has taught graduate level sports and entertainment coursework and served as chair of the Cal State LA College of Business and Economics Dean's Advisory Board.
